As can be seen from the photos it is made from solid yellow very heavy 18 carat gold, almost all high end jewelers including Yurman I’ve been told do not use this much heavy gold anymore, even for the ones costing over $50,000 or $60,000, gold is a lot more expensive these days, so this is rare and gold will keep going up in value over time and so will the very high end Yurman collectible pieces for the true connoisseurs as you all already know, which means this will be an investment…later on you will for sure be able to sell it if you like and if you’re patient you will be able to make a decent profit on it also. Please do not confuse these very rare and high end pieces from the highest levels of David Yurman’s artistic history with the cheaper ones. You get what you pay for in everything in life and jewelry is obviously no exception. I’ve heard necklaces like this would retail currently for around $60,000 and with 8% sales tax and shipping it would possibly be kind of close to $65,000 but I am taking a big hit on this even though it is extremely rare and it is the very very hard to find extra large size and it’s possibly one of the heaviest gold necklaces that Yurman ever sold. These days prices are going up for Yurman fine pieces so it will continue to gain rarity and value over time obviously. This one is so rare and collectible that you could very easily buy it and wear it for a while and then sell it and not lose anything on it. Life is very short so why not dress like a multi-millionaire for a fraction of the price.?
